i recorded this soundwalk on May 5th, 2008 in san francisco with binaural DSM microphones, ducking into shops here and there while generally walking down california street. note the cable car passes me and maxes out my microphones. it is chronological, and, besides a few splices, unprocessed.

this piece was featured in a an episode of giant ear, the radio voice of the new york society for acoustic ecology in february, 2009.
